APE is considered a novelty variety and are very difficult and slow to grow so therefore rare. However, APE is very popular, and we feel the extra time it takes to cultivate is worth it for the end product!
APE is a cross between the Penis Envy and Albino PF strains. This is a milky white mushroom, with thick stems and the top of the cap ranges from blue to greyish black when dried. The blue tint is a visual indication of the high amounts of psilocybin. It is APE's slow growth which results in a longer time to produce concentrated levels of psilocybin. This is a smaller growing mushroom than the PE strain and often the cap remains closed, even when ready to harvest.
APE is considered the most powerful of the Penis Envy variants, so caution is needed when using. Once ingested, the effects come on anywhere from twenty to forty minutes, sometimes a little more and can last for up to six hours. This is not suggested for first time users due to its strength. Start with a small dose and wait 40 minutes at least before having more.
